Survivors of Suicide

After every suicide, family and friends are left behind. We offer several types of bereavement support.

Telephone Emotional Support: We are here to talk with you about your feelings any time of the day or night. We can also mail you information specially written for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Call the 24-Hour Crisis Line to receive support.

Drop-In Bereavement Group: We offer a twice monthly professionally-facilitated support group, held at 6:30 PM on the first and third Monday of each month (including holidays) at our Business Office. No registration is required and a voluntary donation is suggested.

2014-6-week-bereavement-flyer240pxSix-Week Bereavement Support Group: This group is designed for those who are at least six months beyond the suicide, have attended the drop-in group a few times, and who desire more support in a closed group setting.

Losing a loved one to suicide involves a unique and complicated grief. The Six-Week Bereavement Support Group provides a safe environment where others engaged in the same experience can speak freely. To assist in the healing process, this six-week closed group provides a structured and supportive journey through complicated grief. The group is facilitated by a mental health professional experienced in suicide bereavement and the group is limited to 4 to 8 participants.
